Mimi Mollica has covered assignments in a number of different countries like Northern Ireland, Pakistan, Sicily, Great Britain, Brazil, India, Romania and Senegal, West Africa, photographing current events and in-depth photo essays on social issues, often using a street photography method. You might know his photos from the popular album “Street Photography Now” by Sophie Howarth and Stephen McLaren. The workshop is organised by Fundacja .DOC, as a part of the Street Photography Now exhibition in Warsaw.

At last (thanks Kasia!) I’ve got “The Suffering of Light” by Mr Alex Webb on my book shelf! This is sort of a Greatest Hits collection from his 30+ years adventure with colour photography – an impressive collection and a great insight into his work and vision. Great (literally – it’s pretty big!) album with some interesting read too, by Geoff Dyer. Beautifully published by Thames & Hudson with a nice touch of some bright red cloth on the cover, both glued and stitched, so it will stand years of browsing. You can get it from Amazon, it’s almost half price at the moment!

I’m excited to announce that my photographs were selected to be included in the Street Photography Now exhibition in Warsaw! This is a great honour to have my work presented in the same gallery next to photographers like Narelle Autio, Joel Meyerowitz, Trent Parke, Martin Parr, Alex Webb and many more. There will a total of 150 photographs on display. This is the biggest presentation of street photography in Poland so far, not to be missed!
