I will be joining a photography workshop with Mimi Mollica next week – nice and inspirational way to start a new year :) By the way I wish you all great light and many great frames in 2012!
I had a really great time last weekend in Warsaw, met interesting people, shared some ideas and opinions, had a quick chat with Matt Stuart (what a cool chap!) who gave a very inspiring talk. My own “meeting with photographer” event went really well, I enjoyed it and hope I wasn’t the only one :) Thanks you all for coming for for the rest – here’s the video…
Join me at my “Meeting with photographer” event, where I will be discussing my photos and my approach to street photography. At 4pm this Saturday in Warsaw, as part of the Polish edition of Street Photography Now exhibition. And I’m just a “support” for the main star of the evening: Matt Stuart that will be discussing his work at 6pm at the same place – not to be missed, so see you there!
At last (thanks Kasia!) I’ve got “The Suffering of Light” by Mr Alex Webb on my book shelf! This is sort of a Greatest Hits collection from his 30+ years adventure with colour photography – an impressive collection and a great insight into his work and vision. Great (literally – it’s pretty big!) album with some interesting read too, by Geoff Dyer. Beautifully published by Thames & Hudson with a nice touch of some bright red cloth on the cover, both glued and stitched, so it will stand years of browsing.
Photos from my recent trip to London – I was lucky to catch some great light when walking in West End area! Will be visiting London again soon, this is still one of my favourite places for street photography.
I was told that around 2 thousand people attended the Street Photography Now exhibition in Warsaw… What a great event it was! Exhibition is open until 15h January and I highly recommend it!
At last – the versnissage of Street Photography No exhibition is tonight, so I’m off to Warsaw. Guess who’s expected there… Mr Bruce Gilden :) And also Mr Stephen McLaren – co-author of a great SPN album. Exciting! My next stop on Monday is London – a place where I grew up as a street photographer. Haven’t been there for over a year now! Can’t wait to meet old friends and hit the old streets once again… Expect (much!) more photos soon. And see you tonight in Warsaw!
I’m excited to announce that my photographs were selected to be included in the Street Photography Now exhibition in Warsaw! This is a great honour to have my work presented in the same gallery next to photographers like Narelle Autio, Joel Meyerowitz, Trent Parke, Martin Parr, Alex Webb and many more. There will a total of 150 photographs on display. This is the biggest presentation of street photography in Poland so far, not to be missed!
“If a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it’s as though I’ve neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up.” – Richard Avedon (1970)
I’ve been really busy recently – moving across three continents and finally settling down in my homeland after 6 years of expatriation – so it took me a while, but the website is here at last and I’m pleased with it. Some additional features will be added, like Polish language version (soon) and proper Buy Print facility (soon-ish). This Blog is for now just a kind of a notepad – place to store, share and maybe discuss some photography related information…
